Weather Photos

I LOVE THE RAIN!!!! The above picture is me in the RAIN! Okay, Okay, so I snuck outside to play in the puddles! I love rain! I love puddles! I love hopping in the rainy puddles! But, mom won't let me go outside without my rain hat on... Don't laugh, it's way cool. I'd even say it's "bling-tastic"!

The above picture is of my big bro, Sammy, checking out a tour of a West Michigan Lighthouse! There were wind gusts from the south/south-west at about 20 mph, which is kind of windy, and it was really cloudy that day. But it was still a pretty lighthouse!

The above picture is me, Smokey, watching a tornado going through the town. As you can see, I grabbed my cell phone and called the police-- after I ran downstairs! Tornadoes are dangerous and unpredictable. Good thing Sammy took this picture so fast, because as soon as I saw it we booked it downstairs as fast as our hoppin' feet would go! Downstairs, or in a bathroom with no windows, is the safest place to be. I have a weather radio, water, flashlight, crackers, a little hay, and extra batteries so that I can still hear what the weather-people are saying on our radio/mini-T.V.-- and so I can hear when it's safe to leave the basement.

The above picture is of my big brother, Sammy. He wandered outside after a huge ice storm! Look at the trees! We had never seen so much ice! After this picture he had to come in and put his earmuffs and boots on before he could go out again. What's wrong Sammy? Ya look a little cold! <haha!> Anyhow, this storm knocked out power for days... We were really glad we had emergency kits set up-- with enough water for each of us to drink for 72 hours, canned food, crackers, and a few other munchies.

This picture is of the two brothers, just hangin' out. I'm kind of not a sun-bunny, so I brought my umbrella. Sammy just didn't want to be in the picture, so he tried to sneak away... didn't quite work though. This was taken at gorgeous Lake Michigan, near Grand Haven.
