Hail is really dangerous (and hurts really bad)! Do not go out and take pictures or play in the hail. Ask
Mom or Dad to go and pick you up some AFTER the storm has passed! (*Remember the 30-30 rule!!)
These two pictures make it kind of obvious... The top picture here tells you how to describe hail.
So when you are telling your parents what size hail you see (from inside the house looking out the window), you can tell them
just like the Weather Service does!
The below picture shows that Michigan usually only has ONE DAY A YEAR where we big hail that is almost an
inch big! That's not really big, for Michigan it is!!
(Did you know: That in some places in Texas and other states down south, they get hail the size of
baseballs??? OUCH, Batman! That would hurt!)
In this short video, it shows a hail storm in Byron Center, Michigan. Now-- DON'T GO OUTSIDE DURING
A HAIL STORM!! And feel really bad for the ducks on the pond-- they had a HUGE headache after this!!!!
